IT IS TIME TO RELAX!
RAINDROP TECHNIQUE
What is it and how does it work?
The technique called “Raindrop” was developed by American physician Dr. Gary Young. It involves a combination of applying ten therapeutic essential oils first to the client’s feet, and then to the spine. The therapist drips the oils from a height of about 15 cm onto the client’s back, then gently spreads them from the lumbar area up along the vertebrae, outwards along the back muscles and over the shoulders to the neck. This non-invasive method combines special massage techniques taken from the Lakota Indian tribe, along with the knowledge of „Vita Flex” points´ technique, which has a profound regenerative effect on the human being.
EFFECTS
Although the entire technique takes only 60-90 minutes, the oils continue to work for several days during which the restoring and balancing process takes place. The Raindrop Technique is at its strongest after 3-4 days.
Most people notice a reduction or disappearance of pain, a decrease in fever, improved mobility, and an overall sense of calm and vitality. The carefully balanced composition of each essential oil helps the body to maintain or restore the natural shape of the spine. However, it is also used to treat conditions not directly related to back problems. This is for example for respiratory infections, digestive problems, hormonal problems, poor liver function and very often also to strengthen the immune system. A number of professional doctors in the United States, and some doctors in the Czech Republic, have incorporated the Raindrop technique into their clinical practice and have found it to be an excellent method for relieving problems associated with sciatica, scoliosis, kyphosis and chronic back pain.
Contraindications / When is extra caution required when applying this technique?
The following medical conditions should be noted before applying the Raindrop technique! In the cases listed below, the application is possible, but only with the omission of certain oils – therefore it is necessary to prepare the treatment carefully and inform me in advance of any contraindications.
- epilepsy
- multiple sclerosis
- high blood pressure
- cancer (before chemotherapy, the client's condition may improve, after chemotherapy it can be applied, but with caution)
- WARNING - not possible during pregnancy and breastfeeding!
DEEPLY RELAXING BREUSS MASSAGE
What is it and how does it work?
The Breuss massage is based on gentle massages that are performed in the spinal area from the seventh cervical vertebrae to the coccyx. The long, smooth strokes relax the spinal musculature and stimulate the energy pathways located in the spinal area. The muscles are being worked with, but also with the energetic part of the person. In addition, so-called opening strokes are used, where the backs of the masseur’s hands are used to move the vertebrae apart, thereby releasing the intervertebral discs. The end of the massage has a pleasant harmonizing effect. The so-called magnetizing is performed, which means that with the help of hands, tissue paper and mutual energy we transfer heat to the body and the resulting magnetization allows better absorption of St. John’s wort oil. In fact, only organic St. John’s wort oil is used in this massage, which helps to swell the intervertebral discs and thus regenerate them. St. John’s wort is also one of the strongest natural antidepressants. The method comes from Rudolf Breuss (1899-1990), an Austrian healer and natural medicine expert.
EFFECTS
Deep relaxation of body and mind. It balances the position of the back, the overall statics of the body and also helps in the prevention of degenerative spinal disorders. Relaxes and regenerates the intervertebral discs. According to Rudolf Breuss, there are no worn-out discs, only degenerated ones, and these can be restored by regular application of this method. The massage is a great way to wash away accumulated stress from the body and also helps to relieve the cervical spine, which does not benefit from a sedentary lifestyle or computer work – in particular, the area around the seventh cervical vertebrae, where stress and unprocessed traumas often accumulate, is relaxed.
Contraindications / When is extra caution required when applying this technique?
- allergy to St. John's wort (also with pollen allergy, increased caution is necessary)
- in case of unresolved cancer
- in case of Bechterew's disease and after spinal surgery
- in severe osteoporosis, where there is a risk of fractures (however, in mild osteoporosis and with a doctor's approval it is possible)
- in pregnancy
- WARNING - as for acute prolapse of the intervertebral disc, it is always recommended to consult the attending physician beforehand, who will assess the spinal root compression on the basis of the radiographs, and either recommend massage or not.
LYMPHATIC MASSAGE THROUGH THE FOOT REFLEXOLOGY
What is it and how does it work?
Reflex lymphatic massage is a method of stimulating lymph circulation reflexively, i.e. through the reflex areas on the soles of the feet. It is based on Hanne Marquardt’s reflexology. This massage is simple, effective, pleasant for the client and the masseur, promotes lymph circulation, removes toxic substances from the body, strengthens immunity and improves the psychological state. The method includes reflex stimulation of important organs, especially the heart and kidneys, which are responsible for the removal of harmful substances. The massage is performed sitting up, the client is in a relaxed state, dressed, only the feet and ankles are massaged. The massage is also suitable for pregnant women.
EFFECTS
The advantage of this massage is its long-lasting effects and the possibility to act on those parts of the body that are otherwise inaccessible for classical lymphatic drainage (plaster, injuries, skin damage, etc.) Classical mechanical lymphatic massage means immediate drainage of the outer layer of the lymphatic system and has its justification, but the masseur does the work for the organism and does not motivate the lymphatic system to improve its activity. On the contrary, reflex lymphatic massage on the soles of the feet stimulates the body to speed up the flow of lymph itself. The effect is therefore longer-lasting and deeper because it first affects the inner part of the lymphatic system.
It is very suitable for: strengthening immunity, overall recovery of the body after acute and chronic diseases, removal of toxins from the body, removal of swelling and cellulite, pain and post-traumatic conditions of the musculoskeletal system, improving the overall condition of multiple sclerosis, prevention (especially respiratory, digestion, excretion), improvement of mental and physical condition, hormonal disharmony (MPS, menopause, puerperium), problems with constipation and psychological problems (neurosis, depression, insomnia, fatigue).
Contraindications / When is extra caution required when applying this technique?
- untreated malignant disease
- acute bacterial infections
- acute febrile infectious conditions
- purulent skin wounds
- oedema of renal origin - nephrosis
- oedema in case of cardiac insufficiency
- acute venous inflammation
- acute deep vein thrombosis
AROMA MASSAGE – NECK, BACK AND FEET
What is it and how does it work?
Aroma back, neck and foot massage is a highly relaxing technique that is combined with the effects of therapeutic essential oils. Through this combination, self-healing processes are triggered in the body, both on the physical body and psychological levels. The whole treatment activates the client’s senses. The long and calm strokes of the hands create a feeling of security in the body, deep relaxation and blood circulation in the skin, which allows the essences of the oils to penetrate deep into the skin and muscles. The aroma of the individually selected essential oils acts on specific physical and psychological problems.
EFFECTS
In addition to promoting your physical well-being and relieving stress tension, the unique scent of the essential oils used will activate the limbic system (the center in the brain responsible for emotion and memory), helping you to realign your mind-set and open to new perceptions. The effects of the massage such as blood circulation, pain relief, support of the blood and lymphatic system are complemented by the effect of individually selected essential oils according to the client’s wishes. During the massage, the client inhales the aroma of the oils, which results in calming of the psyche, better breathing, overall blood circulation in the muscles and an effect on the central nervous system.
Contraindications / When is extra caution required when applying this technique?
- acute, infectious or inflammatory diseases
- fever
- in case of cancer and chemotherapy
- under the influence of psychotropic substances and when drunk
- in pregnancy
- allergies to certain plant species
- immediately after a meal

BODY CANDLES TREATMENT TO SOLVE PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS
What is it and how does it work?
Our ancestors already used their effect. The ancient Celts and Slavs used a coiled burning bark to draw out inflammation and pain from the body. Today we use body, ear and turbo candles, which are actually hollow tubes made of natural materials, dipped in beeswax, which are applied to painful areas of the body. Essential oils may be used to enhance the effect. The benefit of body candles is that they draw out inflammation, swelling, small deposits, stones and toxic poisons from the body.
The application of the candle is based on a similar principle to cupping or moxing. Body candles use the chimney effect. A vacuum is created at the point where they are applied to the skin (through a paper napkin), which then releases the blocked energy. The candle partially draws impurities (e.g. inflammations, cysts, fibroids, swellings) out of the body. Other toxins that are released in the body are then eliminated from the body in the normal way.
EFFECTS
Body candles can treat the body on multiple levels. Most often for weakened immunity (flu, bronchitis, cough, cold, clogged sinuses, earaches), allergies, skin problems, gingivitis and dental inflammation, spinal and abdominal pain, gynecological problems, joint problems, headaches and migraines.
Contraindications / When is extra caution required when applying this technique?
- open wounds, eczema, acne, warts
- in the heart area (left side)
- increased temperature
- allergy to bee products
-
WARNING – The use is normally contraindicated for children under 3 years of age. However, this is a general recommendation for all Czech health care products. In general, the application of candles is not limited by age.
In my practice, it has been repeatedly confirmed that babies and young children benefit from candles and they work very well for baby farts, runny nose, tummy aches and ear infections.
