What is conscious breathing?

Breath is sometimes perceived as merely an exchange of air in our body. But our breath is a real gift to us. Spiritually evolved cultures all over the world, and now scientific circles, ascribe great importance to the breath. Conscious breath work has proven healing and harmonizing effects on our psyche and our physical body. Through conscious breathing we can release from our body many blocks, old regrets, sadness and much more. Basically, any crippling experience that has not been absorbed and processed in the moment has settled in our body as some form of tension which then affects the way we perceive everything in our lives. So when we dissolve that tension during the breathing exercise and work our way to where it is lodged in the nervous system, it opens up space in our body and mind, and we come to a feeling within ourselves. This way we get to what is Here and Now.

HOW DOES THE CONSCIOUS BREATHING COURSE WORK?

The course takes place in a group. The main goal of the practice is lightness and joy. I will guide you through the breathing techniques so that you can practice them on your own at any time, while being aware of the environment you are in, as well as your own movement patterns, correct posture and your mind-set. You will start paying attention to your breath in different situations throughout the day and be aware of your subsequent behaviour. Along with conscious breathing, you will thus be able to tune into your own conscious being.
